About your counsellor
Venessa is an ACA approved counsellor and clinical supervisor who works from a trauma-informed and person-centred approach. She is dedicated to creating a safe space for you to feel comfortable telling your story.
Since 2014 she has worked with victims of crime and abuse, trauma, and adults managing addictive behaviours such as gambling, screen addiction, and drug and alcohol misuse. Venessa brings a holistic and compassionate presence to every session, drawing upon mindfulness-based techniques, cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, solution focused therapy, inner-child work, gestalt techniques, and Gottman interventions when working with individuals and couples.
As a supervisor, Venessa aims to create a sense of community for like-minded practitioners to scaffold professional development. She offers both group and individual supervision, drawing upon diverse evidence-based clinical supervision models.
All forms of support can be provided online, in person, or over the phone. Face to face interactions take place at various locations within the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu, and Murray Mallee area.
